Linen has a beautiful drape and open weave that is perfect for cross stitch and embroidery. Belfast linen is an elegant fabric with a slightly irregular structure.
This fabric is 32 count. Linen is commonly stitched over 2 threads, which would give you 16 stitches per inch, the equivalent of 16-count Aida. You can also stitch over 1 thread for 32 stitches per inch.
